Google is always offering a simpler and better service, I personally likes all services from Google including Blogger, Youtube, Gmail, Google plus and all.Recently Google has made possible for those of you in the U.S. to call any mobile phone or landlines directly from Gmail and Google is now offering this service for those users who are living out side US using Gmail which is in around 38 languages said by Pierre Lebeau, Product Manager, Gmail Team at official Google blog.
Moreover you can buy credits from Gmail to make cheaper call from Gmail according to your currencies like you can buy credits in Euros, British pounds, Canadian dollars or U.S. dollars according to your region and there are no connection fees, so you will have to pay Google only for the time you talk. You can watch demo video from above. If you can't see the Call Phone option in my Gmail account, it means the feature for Call Phone option in my Gmail account has not yet been made available till yet in your country.Mostly outside US, people will not see the option but you need to wait for some more time to release the features available in your country. If you can see a little green phone icon show up at the top of your chat list , that means you can make Calls from Gmail(You need to install Google install the voice and video plug-in before you make your first call). If you are Google Apps user, your domain administrator must have Google Voice and Google Checkout enabled in the administrator control panel in order to be able to use this feature.
